Billo is a UGC video marketplace. Brands use our platform to get ad-ready video content from real creators – primarily for Meta and TikTok campaigns. We’ve worked with 4,500+ brands, process hundreds of creator payouts weekly, and run a $10M+ revenue business from Vilnius. US is our core market.
This role works under the Head of Finance & Analytics, alongside one other Fin-ops teammate. It’s the second seat on the analytics side of the team.
What you’ll own
- Monthly and quarterly business reports. Notion write-ups with the numbers leadership needs to run the company: revenue, EBITDA, margin, ROAS, CAC payback, retention, ARPU. Green dots for what’s on track, red dots for what isn’t, and a short “so what” attached to each. You own the whole packet – pulling, interpreting, writing, posting in #general. The quarterly version expands into investor and shareholder updates – same numbers, sharper framing, higher rigor.
- Definitions and methodology. A core pillar of this role – data trust and metric ownership. You’re the gatekeeper of how things are counted: what counts as the North Star, how RFM is defined, when a churn event triggers, how we recognize revenue. When a definition is fuzzy, you write it down. When a number doesn’t tie, you find out why.
- Metabase dashboards. Our analytics home base, the BI layer on top of the warehouse. You own and extend the exec dashboard plus stand up new dashboards for product, growth, sales, ops as needed. You have a real say in prioritization – what’s worth standing up, what stays ad-hoc, and what’s noise. (Engineering owns the warehouse and dbt models; you live in business logic on top.)
- Pricing and commercial modeling. You will run pricing reviews regularly. The most recent example was a pricing review shipped as a Notion writeup and a Google Sheets model, including creator segmentation and scenario-based pricing. You’ll build the models, stress-test assumptions, propose A/B tests, and present trade-offs.
- Finance data work. Sitting next to Finance, you’ll help with FP&A-flavored work: budgeting and reforecasting, cohort revenue, unit economics, cash runway sensitivity. Comfort moving between business operating data and finance numbers is the core of this role.
- Strategic project support. Leadership runs a few cross-cutting initiatives at any time – pricing reviews, market sizing, partnership models, investor and shareholder reports, board materials, due diligence on deals. You provide the data backbone: pulling, modeling, pressure-testing. You don’t define the strategy, but you materially influence it through analysis and modeling.
- Ad-hoc analysis. Leadership and team leads will come to you with questions – why retention dropped in segment X, what’s the concentration risk by client, what % of revenue comes from top-N accounts, how is creator age distribution shifting on Meta vs TikTok. You write the SQL (BigQuery), pull the data, build the chart, and come back with an answer and recommendation. You’re managing two modes here: fast and directionally right for ad-hoc questions, high rigor for anything that flows into official reporting or metric definitions. Knowing which mode a request needs is part of the craft.
What we’re looking for
- 2-5 years in an analyst seat at a startup, scale-up, fintech, marketplace, or in finance / consulting with strong business exposure.
- SQL fluency – non-negotiable. You write your own queries (BigQuery), don’t wait for someone to pull data for you. Bonus if you’ve worked with Metabase or Hex.
- Strong in spreadsheets – Google Sheets / Excel – for modeling. You should be able to build a multi-scenario pricing or unit-economics model that someone else can read and trust.
- Business sense over technical depth. You think in P&L, gross margin, retention curves, cohorts, and customer segments – not just tables and joins.
- Speed and ownership. This is an operational role. We don’t need brilliant strategy – we need fast, accurate, defensible answers. People who get blocked easily or need very clean problem statements won’t enjoy this role.
- You push back. When the conclusion overshoots the data, you flag it and footnote assumptions. When a process is broken, you say so. “Happy to be challenged” is the right energy.
- English and Lithuanian. You’ll write reports in English for the whole team and switch to Lithuanian for leadership conversations.
- Vilnius / Lithuanian hours. Hybrid setup. We work together in person most of the week.
What this is not
- It’s not a strategic seat in the sense of owning direction. The Head of Finance & Analytics and leadership set strategy. You materially influence it through analysis and modeling.
- It’s not a data engineering role. We have engineering. You consume the warehouse, don’t build it.
- It’s not a management role. Individual contributor, deep ownership of dashboards, models, and analysis. Plenty of impact, no direct reports.
- It’s not a polished-deck role. We value speed, accuracy, and a clear point of view over slide aesthetics.
