TikTok Creator Marketplace: how it works in TikTok One
Went looking for TikTok Creator Marketplace and ended up on something called TikTok One? You’re in the right place. TikTok moved Creator Marketplace into TikTok One, and after 10 March 2025 no new campaigns were posted on the old platform.
The marketplace itself didn’t go anywhere. It’s now one part of a bigger platform that also includes AI creator search, a network of TikTok-approved agencies and tools for boosting creator posts as Spark Ads.
This guide explains how TikTok Creator Marketplace works for brands now: who you’ll find there, what it costs, how to run your first project and when another option fits better.
TL;DR:
- It still exists, inside TikTok One. Creator Marketplace is now part of TikTok One, TikTok’s platform for creator campaigns. The standalone platform stopped taking new campaigns in March 2025.
- Brands find creators with AI search or filters, invite them to projects or accept applications, then push the best videos to Ads Manager as Spark Ads.
- Creators must be 18+, be in a region where TikTok One is available and usually have 1,000+ followers.
- TikTok charges no service fee to brands or creators. Payment provider fees may apply, and cross-border payments only work in some regions.
- It’s strongest for TikTok-only campaigns that use creators’ audiences. If you need ad creative for Meta as well as TikTok, a user-generated content (UGC) platform may fit better.
Where to find TikTok Creator Marketplace
Brands find Creator Marketplace inside TikTok One, TikTok’s creative platform for advertisers. Sign in there, or ask your TikTok account representative for access if you don’t have it yet.
Creators open the TikTok app and go to Profile, then TikTok Studio, then Creator Marketplace, which now leads to TikTok One. TikTok’s guide to upgrading to TikTok One walks through the same path for creators who used the old marketplace.
What is TikTok Creator Marketplace?
TikTok Creator Marketplace is TikTok’s official tool for brands to find, brief and pay TikTok creators for sponsored content. It now sits inside TikTok One, TikTok’s all-in-one platform for creator marketing, where brands can also approve videos and boost them as Spark Ads.
As of October 2026, TikTok One has four main parts:
- Creator AI Search. You describe your campaign in plain language and get a creator shortlist in seconds, with an explanation of why each creator was suggested.
- Creator Marketplace. The part you may already know: filter creators, run projects, approve videos and see results in one place.
- Partner Exchange (formerly TikTok Creative Exchange). TikTok-approved agencies that can run creator campaigns and production for you.
- Content Suite (beta). Find creator posts that already exist and boost them as Spark Ads, with one-click approval for 365-day usage rights.
What’s new in TikTok Creator Marketplace (2024 to 2026)
| Date | What changed | Source |
|---|---|---|
| September 2026 | TikTok announced One Pay, which pays creators for brand deals in under 30 days with no commission, and OnePlus, an invite-only group of top creators | Tubefilter |
| March to April 2025 | The standalone Creator Marketplace stopped taking new campaigns and was set to redirect to TikTok One from 1 April 2025. TikTok said existing features and past campaigns would carry over | Social Media Today |
| May 2024 | TikTok announced TikTok One at its TikTok World event | Social Media Today |
Imagine you ran a Creator Marketplace campaign in 2024 and log back in today. Your old campaigns are still there, but the menu looks different, and finding creators can now start with a written brief instead of a list of filters. That’s TikTok One.
If you’re searching for TikTok Creator Marketplace, TikTok One is where you’ll find it.
How TikTok Creator Marketplace works for brands
In TikTok One, you work with creators through projects. TikTok currently offers two main project types:
- Branded content with creators. Creators post on their own accounts. You can send invite links, request specific creators through Explore Creators, accept applications from creators, or use a retroactive invite to add a post a creator has already published.
- Creator content at scale. Built for performance: creators make ads that sync to Ads Manager and are published from the creator’s account or your business account.
Either way, the finished videos can go to TikTok Ads Manager and run as Spark Ads, TikTok’s native ad format built on the creator’s original post, with all ad engagement counted on that post. Our comparison of Partnership Ads vs Spark Adsexplains how they differ from Meta’s version.
This step matters more than it looks. In the same May 2026 announcement, TikTok reported that among its North American clients, creator content boosted as Spark Ads had a 159% higher engagement rate than non-creator content posted in Ads Manager, at the same CPM.
Let’s say you sell skincare and want 10 creators to review a new serum. You’d create a branded content project, shortlist creators with AI search, send invite links and approve each draft. Then you’d boost the two best posts as Spark Ads, instead of letting them live only on the creators’ profiles.
Plan the Spark Ads step before you invite anyone, because that’s where most of the paid value comes from.

TikTok Creator Marketplace requirements: who you’ll find there
As of July 2026, creators can join TikTok One if they:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Are in a country or region where TikTok One has launched
- Follow TikTok’s Community Guidelines and Branded Content Policy
- Have 1,000+ followers to take part in projects, although each project can set its own requirements
You’ll still find guides that list the old Creator Marketplace rules, such as 10,000 followers and minimum monthly likes. TikTok’s help center (July 2026) sets the bar for projects at 1,000+ followers, so it’s worth checking the current rule before you skip smaller creators.
Once they’re in, creators fill in their profile with starting rates, contact details, languages and industries, which is the information you’ll filter and compare on. Keep in mind that creator information on TikTok One is separated by region, so you switch regions in the top menu to browse creators in other countries.
For brands, this means the marketplace is made up of creators with an audience. That’s exactly what you want when the goal is reach. It’s less important when you only need a strong video to run from your own ad account.
Imagine a creator with 600 followers who films excellent product demos. They can’t join TikTok One projects yet, but their videos could still outperform a bigger creator’s in your ads. If that’s the kind of creator you’re after, platforms that list UGC creators by the videos they make are a better place to look.
Follower count tells you about reach. It says much less about how well a video will sell.
Payments and fees
Good news first: TikTok doesn’t charge brands or creators a service fee for using TikTok One’s payment service. Your payment provider may still charge its own fees.
Here’s how paying works, according to TikTok’s help center (March 2026):
- Payment methods. Debit and credit cards, invoicing for eligible advertisers, and bank transfer for US advertisers.
- When you’re charged. After you confirm the project details. If you negotiate a new price, you’re charged only once you accept it. Taxes are included in the total.
- Cross-border payments. Available in select regions, and TikTok says the list is growing. If your region isn’t covered, you’ll see a message at checkout.
Creators can be paid in three ways:
| Payment model | How the creator is paid |
|---|---|
| Base pay only | A flat fee for the agreed deliverables, fixed or negotiable |
| Revenue share only | An amount based on the video’s performance and your ad spend (in-feed ads only) |
| Base pay + revenue share | A flat fee plus a performance-based amount; not negotiable |
What TikTok One doesn’t do is set creator rates. Creators list their own starting rates, and you agree the price per project. If you want a benchmark before you negotiate, our guide to UGC rates is a good place to start.
Let’s say you’re a UK brand and your perfect creator is based in the US. Before you send the invite, check that cross-border payment works for your region. Otherwise you’ll find out at checkout, after the creative conversation has already started.
No platform fee doesn’t mean no cost: the creator’s rate is still the biggest line in your budget.
How to use TikTok Creator Marketplace: step by step for brands
Ready to try it? Here’s the process from login to live ad.
- Get access. Sign in to TikTok One or ask your TikTok account representative for access. Some features, such as Content Suite, are in beta and need a request through your TikTok account representative.
- Write a short brief. Cover the goal, product, deliverables, budget, timeline and how you’ll use the videos (organic posts only, or Spark Ads too).
- Build a shortlist. Paste your brief into Creator AI Search or use the filters in Creator Marketplace. Check each creator’s audience location, engagement and past brand work.
- Invite creators or open applications. Send invite links to your shortlist, or let creators apply. Agree on the price and deliverables.
- Confirm and pay. You’re charged when you confirm the project details.
- Review and approve. Check drafts against your brief and request changes before anything goes live.
- Boost the winners. Sync the best-performing videos to Ads Manager and run them as Spark Ads.
- Measure and repeat. Compare results in TikTok One and Ads Manager, then brief the next round based on what worked.
Making any sense so far? Good! One step deserves extra attention. Imagine a creator video takes off and you want to use it on your website and in Meta ads too. If you only agreed to a TikTok post, you’ll have to go back and renegotiate.
Agree on usage rights before step 4. Our guide to UGC usage rights explains what to ask for.

Is TikTok Creator Marketplace worth it for brands?
For most brands that advertise on TikTok, it’s worth a try. It’s TikTok’s own tool, it’s free to use, and it connects directly to Ads Manager. Having said that, it was built for one platform and one type of creator, so it helps to know where it stops.
Where it’s strong
- Everything in one place. Discovery, briefs, payments, approvals and Spark Ads all happen inside TikTok.
- No platform fee. You pay the creator, and TikTok takes no cut.
- Creators with an audience. Every creator in a project brings followers, which helps when reach is the goal.
- A direct line to paid. Approved videos can go straight to Ads Manager as Spark Ads.
Where it stops
- It’s TikTok only. Content, analytics and Spark Ads stay inside TikTok. Using the videos on Meta or your website usually means agreeing separate rights with each creator.
- Newer creators aren’t in the pool. Projects usually need 1,000+ followers, so creators who make great ads but haven’t built a following yet are left out.
- Payments depend on your region. Cross-border payment only works in select regions so far.
- Some features are gated. Content Suite is in beta and needs a request.
- You do the work. Briefing, negotiating and approvals are on your team, unless you hire a Partner Exchange agency.
Imagine a DTC brand that spends most of its paid budget on Meta and tests a smaller share on TikTok. TikTok One covers the TikTok side well, but the team still needs a separate source of video for Meta.
If TikTok is your main channel and reach is the goal, TikTok One is a strong choice. If you need ad creative across platforms, you’ll want something alongside it.
Best alternatives to TikTok Creator Marketplace for brands
The best alternative depends on the job you need done. Some brands want more reach, some want ad creative for several platforms, and some want someone else to run the whole thing.
How we compared. We grouped the options by that job. TikTok One details come from TikTok’s help center (checked October 2026). For the other platforms we describe only the category they belong to and leave out individual features and prices, because those change often. We name examples so you know what to search for; we don’t rank them. Billo is one of the options, and we say where it isn’t the best fit.
| Option | Best for | Where the content runs | Creator audience needed? | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TikTok One Creator Marketplace | TikTok campaigns that use creators’ audiences, with no platform fee | TikTok | Yes, usually 1,000+ followers | TikTok One |
| TikTok One Partner Exchange | Handing TikTok creator campaigns and production to an agency | TikTok | Depends on the agency | TikTok-approved agencies |
| Influencer discovery and management platforms | Finding, contacting and reporting on creators across several social networks | Several social networks | Yes | CreatorIQ, Modash, Aspire, Upfluence |
| UGC platforms for ad creative | Ordering ad-ready videos to run from your own ad accounts | TikTok, Meta and other channels | No | Billo, Insense, JoinBrands |
TikTok One is the better choice when:
- TikTok is your main or only paid channel
- You want creators to post on their own accounts and reach their followers
- You want revenue-share deals tied to ad performance
- You’d rather not pay a platform fee
An alternative fits better when:
- You run ads on Meta as well as TikTok. A UGC platform gives you videos you can use on both.
- You work with creators across several networks. An influencer platform brings discovery, outreach and reporting together.
- You don’t have time to run campaigns. A Partner Exchange agency or a managed service can do it for you.
Many brands end up using TikTok One alongside another option.
Where Billo fits
Billo is a UGC platform: brands order short videos from vetted creators and run them as ads on TikTok and Meta. Because the videos are made for your ads, you choose creators based on the videos they make.
- 5,000+ vetted creators based in the US, Canada and the UK, and 37k+ brands have used Billo.
- TikTok Spark Ads. Creators share a Spark Ads code valid for 30 days, so you can run the video from their handle.
- Meta Partnership Ads. Billo supports both Partnership Ads options: content-level with an ad code, or account-level with no public post needed.
- Pricing per item. Video, organic posting and Partnership Ads are priced separately by the creator. UGC ads start at $99 per video.
Where Billo isn’t the best fit. Billo also offers organic posting on creators’ profiles. But if the main goal is reach through creators with large TikTok audiences, TikTok One or an influencer platform is the better choice.
Summary and next steps
TikTok Creator Marketplace hasn’t disappeared. It’s now part of TikTok One, with AI creator search, an agency network, Spark Ads tools and no platform fee. For TikTok campaigns built on creators’ audiences, it’s a strong place to start.
Where it stops is at the edge of TikTok. If your ads also run on Meta, or you want to pick creators based on their videos, pair it with an option built for that job.
If you’re planning paid creator ads, the logical next step is deciding between Partnership Ads and Spark Ads. And when you’re ready to brief creators, you can start with Billo.
