how billo pricing works

Before you sign up for a UGC platform, you want a rough idea of what you’ll spend. On Billo, the full price list sits inside the platform, because each video’s cost depends on the choices in your brief.

The good news is that the structure is simple: you pay per video, creator pay is included, and you add only what your campaign needs. This guide explains how Billo pricing works, from the starting price to the optional extras.

Key highlights:

  • Billo videos start at $99 per video. The final price depends on video length, format, creator type, the number of creators and any extras such as hooks or variations.
  • You prepay through packs. Packs load money onto your Billo balance, larger packs come with a bonus, and your balance covers every order and add-on.
  • Creator pay is included in the video price. There are no separate creator fees to negotiate.

How much does Billo cost?

Billo videos start at $99 per video. That’s the price of a basic creator video, made from your brief by one of Billo’s 5,000+ vetted creators. There is no monthly subscription needed to order videos.

Five main choices in your brief move the price up from there.

  1. Video length. Longer videos take more planning and filming, so they cost more.
  2. Format. You pick one aspect ratio per brief, additional ones cost extra.
  3. Creator type. You can choose to work with Regular vs Premium creators.
  4. Hooks, unique videos and variations. Extra hooks, extra unique videos from the same creator, and ad variations each add to the order.

Some briefs are simply harder to film. When your brief includes things like a second person on camera, a pet, cooking or on-location filming, Billo suggests an optional complexity bonus for the creator. It’s a recommendation, and you decide whether to add it and how much.

The more you ask of the creator, the more the video costs, and you see each choice reflected in the total before you order.

How packs and your Billo balance work

Billo runs on a prepaid balance. Instead of entering card details for every order, you buy a pack, and its value is added to your Billo balance. Each time you approve a creator and place an order, the cost of the video and any add-ons is deducted from that balance.

Packs are a monetary value, not a number of videos, so you can spend your balance on any mix of videos and services. Bigger packs come with a bonus added on top of what you pay. This is how Billo’s volume discounts work: the more you load, the lower your cost per video.

Your balance stays valid for 12 months, so you don’t need to spend it in one campaign. If it runs low, you can top it up from your dashboard anytime and keep ordering.

Think of your balance as a creative budget wallet: load it once, then spend it as your campaigns need it. You can read more about it in I purchased a pack, what’s next?

What’s included in the video price

Every video order includes:

  • Creator compensation. Billo pays the creator for you, and creators receive the full compensation shown for the job. Billo’s fee is part of what brands pay and is never deducted from creator pay.
  • Platform access and transaction fees. These are part of the price, not added at checkout.
  • A basic creator video. The raw video the creator films from your brief, without captions, music or graphics.
  • Two revisions within your brief. You can ask for changes twice at no extra cost, as long as they match the original brief.
  • Full usage rights. Once you approve a video, the licensing rights are yours to use in ads and on your channels.

What’s not included is your product and the cost of shipping it to the creator. If a creator has an approved expense for the task, such as ingredients for a recipe video, Billo handles the reimbursement after you approve the receipt. You can see the details in How do I pay content creators for the videos they create?
