Software Engineer (Senior & Mid Positions)

About the company

We are a group of 40 strong specialists that are building a marketplace for video ads.

The marketplace connects businesses that have a need of performing Meta & TikTok ads with creators that have the capability to produce content. Since our launch in 2020, we’ve produced ~140,000 videos for ~20,000 advertisers and initiated direct partnerships with Meta and TikTok. We’ve generated over $22M in revenue, have a lot of hard and interesting challenges ahead of us and want you to work with us to solve them.

Marketplaces are a notoriously complex type of business as they have to juggle two sides – supply and demand – at once. We’re searching for an experienced Software Engineer who would join us on the journey of navigating challenges in the fields business, tech, data, and product.

As a Software Engineer you will:

  • Spend your time across multiple stacks (we approximate 70% Back-End, 30% Front-End & everything else)
  • Work hand-in-hand with other engineers and product people to deliver value to our clients
  • Maintain and improve Billo platform across multiple stacks and applications
  • Collaborate with strong specialists to find the correct compromises to the hard problems we face
  • Work across multiple domains and departments to improve efficiency of Billo colleagues and processes
  • Contribute to company’s direction with your insights and business ideas
  • Continuously learn and gain further knowledge in the fields of architecture, data, and various languages

What We Expect:

  • Proficiency in Lithuanian language
  • Willingness to work across different technologies and learning new ones
  • At least 3 (5 for a Senior position) years of experience in a software engineering position at strong tech companies
  • Knowledge in frontend, backend and database technologies (bonus if: React, node.js)
  • Proficiency in Javascript (bonus if: TypeScript)
  • Experience working with relational databases (bonus if: non-relational as well)
  • Ability to work with abstract problems and self-sufficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Monthly gross salary:
    • 3,300 EUR – 5,500 EUR GROSS for a Mid role
    • 5,500 EUR – 7,000 EUR GROSS for a Senior role + ESOP

Work Setting:

  • We believe that we can achieve better results in-person, thus we focus on office-first culture, but leave flexibility for remote as well
    • We leave full freedom to work from home when it helps you resolve your personal matters or you have some work that requires to focus heavily
    • Workations are totally OK as well
    • That being said, we do value face-to-face communication and strive to work together live at least a couple times a week

  • Cloud: AWS
  • Frontend: TypeScript + React
  • Backend: TypeScript + Node.js & some Golang
  • Mobile: Dart + Flutter
  • Architecture: mixture between micro-services, lambdas and some monolith
  • CI/CD: Github Actions, Argo CI, homebrew deployment app
  • Databases: AWS RDS (MySQL), AWS DynamoDB
  • DWH: Fivetran, DBT, Google BigQuery
  • Data analysis: Mixpanel, Metabase
